Different people go through different things and some people can deal with more things compared to others. When someone goes through anxiety or depression, I always hear a lot of side comments from others, saying “tough it out” or “get over it”. Little do they know what the other person is going through or what’s on their minds. Little do they know, the other person might just be trying to hold himself together. But some people just don’t get it. It’s not that they don’t care. I just think they have no understanding when it comes to depression or anxiety. If you are one of them, educate yourself instead of throwing comments out to a person dealing with it. Because it might not sound bad to you, but to others, you can sound very insensitive. Instead of throwing those kind of comments out there, approach it differently. Try saying “everything will be okay”, or “you aren’t alone”..

I always have long drawn out, sometimes heated agreements with people that day just get over it.
Every buddy is dealing with a battle you know nothing about. Quote I live by.

This is my life! I have dealth with depression & anxiety for several years. I have my highs & down lows and often people just don`t get it, because like you said they are uneducated about mental health.
