A healthy relationship will make you want to become a better person. Being in a healthy relationship will push you to achieve your dreams or at least start working on it. Being in a healthy relationship will also make you realize that things aren’t always rainbows and butterflies, it’s also about understanding each other and compromising with each other. But that does not mean you have to shrink yourself into something that you can barely recognize as yourself. Loving someone means that your happiness is their happiness, but that doesn’t mean you have to completely forget about what makes you happy. Loving someone doesn’t mean you have to pretend to be something or someone else to make someone happy. Loving someone means saving some of yourself so that you do not run out of your own to offer to her or him, because that’s what makes you unique.
Don’t let a relationship belittle you, or make you feel like your standards or expectations are too high. Keep yourself and love yourself enough to trust yourself to love someone without compromising your own worth.
